JUNETEENTH ATL

Juneteenth is the oldest known commemoration of the emancipation of slavery. Every year, millions of people across the globe come together to share this experience in the form of a festival and parade entitled, "Juneteenth"! This year, Atlanta hosted it's annual Juneteenth celebration at Morris Brown College located in Atlanta, GA. There was live music, food, beverages, entertainment, African dance, businesses from all over the world, a fashion show, parade, and much much more!


I had the honor of participating in this event as a Fashion Vendor and Artist. So many people came out to support this event. Many Father's participated, as the event was also celebrating Father's Day. I am glad to have been a part of this experience and I look forward to next year!

   On November 30, Norma Jean and Femme took a trip to Charlotte, NC to support their friends in their event, NusicFest . There were live performances by Carson   (a rockband) and BSE (a rapping group), who are both from Charlotte. There were also clothing lines present with vendor booths to promote their lines such as Baked Goods Apparel , HotDogWater , and Materialistic Morphine . The event took place in McKnight Hall on UNCC campus and the doors opened at 6:30 PM. There were a lot of new faces and Norma Jean was even able to promote herself as a stylist and artist. We definitely enjoyed the event!  Below: This the rockand Carson.
