Channing Lilly
This beautiful Queen is Channing Lilly and she's my first cousin! Guess beauty runs in the family, huh? LOL! She's starting her modeling career. She's out in New York with her model boyfriend and they are just a beautiful "model couple"! Here are the pics from her first official photoshoot. Good job "Ma Shug", as the family calls her ! Styling Crystal Iman
Crystal, and that's MsCris to you, was Norma Jean's very first client in the styling business two years ago. She is an excellent model and up and coming rapper. She is also a wonderful business partner and friend. MsCris is now working on her EP, which is a little taste of her new music. She gave me the opportunity to hear a few tracks while joy riding in the car yesterday. I am anxious to hear her new music! Below are behind the scene pictures from the photoshoot she did yesterday; Norma Jean as the wardrobe stylist and Najiyyah Phipps as the photographer. Norma Jean Benson designed this dress. What's in your sketchbook?
The Sketchbook Collective is now being exhibited at the Cultural Art Center located in downtown Greensboro, NC. The show exhibits sketchbook artwork from various artist around Greensboro. Check them out! This was a very interesting drawing. One of my favs! These series of figure drawings were done by my Professor, James Barnhill.
WARMEST-WINTER-EVER
Saturday evening, Norma Jean was invited to do live painting at an Art Social, "Warmest Winter Ever", hosted by local promotion teams in Greensboro, NC. The event was held at the CFBG Lounge located on Chapman Road. There were 6 artists doing live art including Norma Jean and her team, Brian "X" Pettway and Yazmin Ali of HalfBaked7Creations.
