Bessie B.....

Things passed down from grandparents are our most valuable treasures. Opening boxes and boxes of fabrics is like Christmas morning! Since the passing of Norma Jean's grandmother, Bessie Benson, in 2005, she has longed to launch a collection inspired and made from fabrics left behind by her grandmother. This time has finally come. After years of skillful training in sewing techniques and fashion, Norma Jean is ready to release her very own custom-made vintage clothing line entitled, Bessie B....

On March 1st, Norma Jean will debut her clothing line for the very first time! The show is being held in Greensboro, NC at the African American Atelier during a fashion extravaganza entitled, Roots.

   On November 30, Norma Jean and Femme took a trip to Charlotte, NC to support their friends in their event, NusicFest . There were live performances by Carson   (a rockband) and BSE (a rapping group), who are both from Charlotte. There were also clothing lines present with vendor booths to promote their lines such as Baked Goods Apparel , HotDogWater , and Materialistic Morphine . The event took place in McKnight Hall on UNCC campus and the doors opened at 6:30 PM. There were a lot of new faces and Norma Jean was even able to promote herself as a stylist and artist. We definitely enjoyed the event!  Below: This the rockand Carson.
