CALLING ALL ARTIST!!!!

          Over the summer, my boyfriend took me art supply shopping!!!!! [I love him] ... It was an art store like no other. Usually you just walk in an art store and grab and go but this store --> you walk in, sit down at a computer, make a list of the things you want from their online site, give it to the employee, and they fetch out all your items, pack them up, and you're ready to go. Originality is my thing and I believe RexArt is a great art store.
         I put my name on the email list.... the usual and I've been recieving emails from them. Well today I got email about an Aluminum Canvas. SAY WHAT?!!! Yes. (Pictures below). Definitely in the process of ordering one right now! Too bad an 18x18 aluminum canvas is 97 DOLLARS so Ill start small probably. NUSICFEST !!!

   On November 30, Norma Jean and Femme took a trip to Charlotte, NC to support their friends in their event, NusicFest . There were live performances by Carson   (a rockband) and BSE (a rapping group), who are both from Charlotte. There were also clothing lines present with vendor booths to promote their lines such as Baked Goods Apparel , HotDogWater , and Materialistic Morphine . The event took place in McKnight Hall on UNCC campus and the doors opened at 6:30 PM. There were a lot of new faces and Norma Jean was even able to promote herself as a stylist and artist. We definitely enjoyed the event!  Below: This the rockand Carson. A picture is worth a thousand words....

About every month or so, NC A&T's Art Department exhibits different students' art work in the main art buidling, Frazier. For November and December, students from Elon University and of course, A&T had a chance to exhibit their work. This recent display was Graphics. This piece was done by Kendria Latrice (NC A&T). I don't know her exact meaning behind this piece but I believe it to be a  Black Jesus vs White Jesus concept. This would be the "White Jesus". He is characterized by his long pointy nose, small lips, and pale skin.  This is most likely the "Black Jesus". He is characterized by his full nose, plump lips, and the dark shading. This piece was done by Qunicy Smith (NC A&T) . Quincy along with Elon students did a theme based on the tragedy of police forces killing innocent people. This is a student from Elons' work.
